This study identifies the objects, buildings and sites that the Athenians used in connection with their lawcourts during the 5th to 3rd centuries BC. It begins with a study of the names of courts and an attempt to link them with buildings. There is also discussion of court proceedures and catalogues of objects associated with the workings of the court such as curses, tokens and ballots. There is also a catalogue of court sites in and around Athens and a catalogue of references taken from inscriptions and literature.
