This two volume collection contains a vast catalogue of Byzantine coins along with an introduction to the historical background of the periods covered and the changes in the monetary system. Further discussions deal with the co-ordination, control and production of the coins, the mints, inscriptions and epigraphy and a study of Imperial ceremonial costume and regalia.
