Metallurgists of the Central Black Sea Region

Önder Bilgi draws on evidence of metal objects, and contemporary ceramics and figurines, from the central Black Sea region to address the question of the original homeland of the Indo-Europeans. Discussing and describing metal artefacts from the Late Chalcolithic to Late Iron Age period (objects which also feature in an illustrated catallogue at the back), Bilgi concludes that the Indo-Europeans did not migrate to the central Black Sea region in the 2nd millennium BC, but that they were there from the beginnig.
