Gwynne Edwards is Professor of Spanish and the Head of the Department of Ramance Languages at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, where he has taught since 1967. He is a specialist in Spanish theatre and cinema and has published books and articles on Spanish literature of the 17th and 20th centuries (including a full length study of Lorca). He has translated Lorca's Blood Wedding for this series and has also written an original play Greenham.
