The Spatial Structure of Kom el-Hisn

Details

Kom el-Hisn is one of the few Old Kingdom sites located in the Nile Delta to have been the subject of a systematic program of excavation. Based on this program of research Anthony Cagle analyses the site data through an approach based on Darwinian evolutionary theory. Here he presents an outline of his theory and methodology, descriptions of the deposits and finds from the site, and the statistical analyses upon which he has built his model for the development of functional complexity at Kom el-Hisn.
