Terms & Conditions
Price and Availability
As a specialist distributor we keep a wide range of titles in stock. If all the books you have ordered are on our shelves, and have not been allocated to other customers, we aim to collect everything together and send out the package as soon as possible.
Sometimes, however, we will be waiting for new stocks of the books you have ordered to arrive from the publishers. Most bargains are in stock in quantity, however particularly popular titles occasionally sell out. We will try and send all your books together, in order to save you postage costs. In some cases this may delay the despatch of your books.
Technology currently prevents us from quoting stock figures live on-line, but if you have any queries please contact us before placing your order. All prices quoted are in US dollars and are dependent on both the publishers and exchange rates. They may change at any time and without notice. We will confirm any rises before we send your books.

Private customer orders placed through this website require payment by credit/debit card. This card will be charged on despatch of your order. The credit-card details form in our order process is secure-server protected. This means that your credit card details are scrambled in transit, and then stored securely so that we are the only people who can access your information.
If you would prefer not to pay by credit card, there is the facility to print out your shopping cart and post/fax this to us. We accept payment by cheque (in US dollars, and drawn on a US bank account). Please contact us for further details.
Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
All customers purchasing from the David Brown Book Company may be returned within six months of the invoice date. Books must be in a saleable condition, the current edition, and still available from the publisher. Superseded editions are not returnable 90 days after publication of a new edition. Notification that you wish to cancel and return goods to us must be received via email, letter or fax; a phonecall is not sufficient. When returning goods please obtain proof of posting or send via an insured method of shipping. We will issue a refund with 30 of receiving the returned goods. We will not refund the cost of originally posting the item to you, nor that incurred by you returning the item to us.
Damaged or faulty books may be returned for a replacement copy (where available) or a refund. We will refund any postage charges you incur in returning a damaged book to us. Please contact us before returning any book so we can advise a suitable method of delivery. Such claims must be made within 14 days of receipt.
