The Manchester Museum holds over 1000 complete and fragmentary shabtis; this substantial volume publishes 522 of the finest, arranged chronologically. They are beautifully photographed in full colour and at actual size, together with full descriptions, inscriptions transcrobed, transliterated and translated, and with references to parallel examples in other collections.
