The Revolution of the Spheres was the culmination of Nicholas Copernicus' life's work and it was to change the science of astronomy forever. Known as the first intellectual to claim that the earth revolved around the sun, this study places Copernicus' theories within the social, political, religious and intellectual context of the 15th century.
