This attractive two-volume study examines the distribution and function of Attic vases in Etruria during the 6th and 5th centuries BC. Largely based on an analysis of ceramics recovered from Etruscan graves, Reusser's study considers the domestic and religious role of these ornate vessels, their decorative motifs and their archaeological context. The discussion is contained in Volume I while the regional catalogue, illustrations and extensive bibliography can be found in Volume II. German text.
