Cup-holes, or stone slabs containing groups of circular hollows, have been interpreted as both gaming stones and tables for religious libations. Bringing together a number of examples from Minoan Crete, Hillbom examines their shape, type and context to gain some insight into their function. An inventory of 160 examples is given at the back while the main part of the volume discusses previous research and interpretations of these objects, along with Hillbom's own ideas, and presents collated evidence from a variety of sites.
