Details
This volume is the third to be published reporting on the Greek-Swedish excavations at the Agia Aikaterini Square and it focuses on the Late Minoan IIIB:2 settlement which was destroyed by fire. The report also contains the results of a supplementary excavation in 2001 which provided new information about the settlement's pottery and finds. Divided into two separate books, one with text the other with plates, the volume discusses the rooms and open spaces of two buildings followed by specialist reports on the architecture and finds. These include wall plaster, pottery, personal adornaments, terracotta figurines and stone vases, Linear B inscriptions and obsidian. The archaeological features, the structures and the finds are illustrated and photographed in the second book.
