A study of Cyclopean masonry in the Mycenaean fortifications on mainland Greece. It contains chapters on defining Cyclopean masonry, including analysis of wall structure, foundations, wall faces, wall typology, geographical distribution, and deformities; building in Cyclopean masonry, including quarrying, transportation, and labour resource and working hours; features of the LH III fortifications, including location, block size, gates, and towers; other Cyclopean structures, such as tholos tombs, dams, roads and bridges, and retaining walls; foreign influences from Crete, the Cycladic islands, the Ionian islands, Dodecanese, Cyprus, Syria-Palestine and the Transjordan, Anatolia, and Southern Europe; and the origins of the LHIII Fortifications.
