This volume brings together experts from a number of disciplines (modern studies, faunal and plant studies, archaeology and palaeoanthropology, isotopic studies) to present the latest research on hominin diets in their area of specialisation and to investigate how data and theories from these fields can be usefully integrated. The papers all address major questions of the evolution of hominin diets such as meat eating-emergence, hunting vs. scavenging, hunting technologies and resource intensification in later humans.
