This study deals with the emergence and development of the Late Bronze Age cremation rite between Eastern France, Bohemia, Central Hesse, and the Alps including a southern exclave from Ticino to Milan. It considers 10 geographical zones and the periods Bz D, Ha A/B1, and Ha B2/3 with regard to five aspects, namely cremation type, grave construction, treatment of grave goods, anthropological parameters, and identical or different treatment within and between cemeteries.
