The hillfort at Lossow served as a settlement and ritual site in the Late Bronze and Early Iron Age, followed by two settlement phases during the Slavic period (6th-11th century AD). As well as presenting preliminary results from a new research project at the site, including the first geophysical results, this volume contains papers reassessing the long history of earlier excavations which started in 1844.
