This study examines Bronze Age weapon depositions, particularly cataloguing and analysing the extent of damage done to the weapons, looking at both the type of weapon and the type of deposition. This analysis suggests that damage to weapons found in graves was deliberate, rather than the result of use in battle and that particular kinds of breaks dominate, particularly in the case of swords and daggers. Weapon depostition and damage is also analysed geographically, with regional variation noted, and chronologically with damage becoming less frequent towards the end of the Bronze Age. German text.
