Details
The main focus of this work is the oxygen and strontium isotope analysis of cattle teeth from three LBK settlements and human teeth from a cemetery all in southwest Germany. The combination of the two different isotope systems from the enamel of the same tooth allows for a differentiation between seasonal mobility and a more sedentary pattern of animal husbandry, and a determination of the time of year and pasture locations used. Discussion focuses on the spatial organisation of animal husbandry in the LBK.
