This collection of twelve papers encompasses studies of the British Isles and northwest Europe ranging chronologically from the English Late Bronze Age though to the end of the 'long' Iron Age in Scotland. The contributions explore issues of chronology and dating, settlements, landscapes, burials and cremations, human populations, deposition practices and human-animal relationships ranging across ideas of community, networks, place and space, social practice and new methodologies in palaeopathology. New interpretations of key sites are also presented including studies of the East Leicestershire Hoard, South Cadbury and both open and closed settlements in the East Midlands.
