This essay analyses some archaeological topics, focusing on the process of interpretation of the Prehistoric past, the image archaeologists project through their work and literature, and some problems affecting the sector in the voice of researchers. Frigoli analyses the key points of interpretation, highlighting some main “characters” (sometimes unconscious) in this “play” defined today as antiquity, as well as those anonymous in this ”damaged and incomplete silent movie” (Prehistory) defined, researched and imagined by archaeologists during the last 150 years.
