Oribasius of Pergamum (c.320-400) was the Emperor Julian's personal physician and author of a considerable canon of medical literature. In this study, the author has collected and presented a bilingual translation of a selection of Oribasius writing concerning female sexual pathology. In addition the author looks at Oribasius within the broader historical context from the Corpus Hippocraticum, through Aristotle, to the great Hellenistic doctors Galen and Soranus Ephesius.
