Designed as a complete introductory textbook, this guide takes the reader through the various processes and methodologies which comprise forensic anthropology. After a survey of the history of the discipline, and survey of its current state, chapters focus on human osteology and odontology, on the recording of remains, on determining sex and age, stature, cause of death and trauma, as well as taphonomic processes. A final section looks at ethical and human rights issues.
