Ocarina Books

Ocarina Books started in 1995 as distributors of archaeoastronomy books, and in particular the proceedings of the annual conferences of the European Society for Astronomy and Culture (SEAC) and the four-yearly "Oxford" international conferences on archaeoastronomy. In 2001, Ocarina began to publish books of its own. One of the first of these is Michael Hoskin's Tombs, Temples and their Orientations. A forthcoming title is Na Inoa Hoku: Hawaiian and Polynesian star names, the second edition of a catalogue by Rubellite Kawena Johnson and John Kaipo Mahelona published a quarter of a century ago, and now extensively revised by the original authors together with Clive Ruggles.
