Trade Information
Oxbow Books is a publisher, distributor and bookseller of books on archaeology, classics and the ancient world. The titles which we publish and distribute are available to booksellers on a trade basis. Please note that this does not include all books on our website, nor all the bargain priced books; because we are also a bookseller many of these are only available on a retail basis. Discounts
The standard trade discount is 35%
A scholarly discount (s) of 25% applies to the publications of the British School at Rome.
Postage and packing
Extra on all orders. Standard charge to UK shippers and consolidators is £3.75. Overseas postage is variable and is charged by weight.
Payment
Invoices are due for settlement 30 days from the invoice date, without the need for a statement.
New customers may be requested to pay in advance.
All books remain the property of the publishers until paid for.
Returns
All books are supplied on the basis of firm sale. Sale or return must be negotiated in advance.
Prior authorisation is required for all returns, which must include relevant invoice information.
Full credit will only be issued if returned books are in a saleable condition, Oxbow retains the right to determine the saleability of returned books.
Period of eligibility for returns: One year from invoice date.
Unauthorised returns will not be credited.
NB these terms apply to books published or distributed by Oxbow Books.
Payment Methods
Credit Card: (The cheapest and quickest way to pay). We accept VISA, Mastercard, Amex and Switch.
Cheque: Cheques should be in £ sterling and drawn on a UK bank.
Bank to Bank Transfer: Account name Oxbow Books Ltd, Account no 00619629 at Lloyds TSB, Carfax, Oxford, OX1 4AA; sort-code 30-11-27. IBAN: GB 98 LOYD 301127 00619629. BIC (SWIFT): LOYDGB21194. Overseas customers should add £12.00 for bank charges.
