Oxbow Books is the distributor for British Museum Press scholarly titles, including the British Museum Research Publications (formerly called the Occasional Papers). The British Museum publishes a wide range of academic titles which are the result of research and scholarly study undertaken by the staff of the British Museum and other leading academics. These volumes range from interim field reports and collected conference papers to definitive reference catalogues that provide essential material for academic study. The Research Publications, published by the Secretariat of the British Museum, present current findings on specific aspects of the collections, publication of recent acquisitions and up-to-date reports of research projects and excavations undertaken by the departments of the British Museum.
