Gordian Knot Books

Gordian Knot Books specialises in the publications of nonfictional anthologies and monographs which provide the information and insights readers need to enable them to understand and formulate solutions to any legal, medical, social and technical-scientific problems they might encounter. The company has a particular interest in the publishing of works that address the conundrums which disrupt societal life; what Gordian Knot Books cleverly call the ‘Gordian Knots’ of modern life, including the ever-relevant and fiercely debated topics of abortion, same-sex marriage, and assisted suicide. Gordian Knot Books understands that these are ethical issues with no answers on their own terms, but also that it is the lack of any apparent or obvious solutions to these issues that make the publishing of the discussions on these topics so important. Recent publications include ‘The Gay and Lesbian Marriage & Family Reader’ edited by Jennifer Lehmann, and ‘Modern Terrorism and Psychological Trauma’ edited by Brian Trappler.
